Printing Matrix

Every month the Museum of the Oldest Appellation in the World highlights one of the many objects that are part of the collection shown in our permanent exhibition. Come and discover the object of the month and find out more about our history. 

Matrices are used for printing identity elements of Real Companhia Velha. This matrix, in particular, presents several relevant iconographic components: the name of the Company, its logo, indication of some produced wine types, among other characteristic elements present in the wine theme. Also in this set, the different objects emphasize the commercial and corporate identity’s evolution. 

This object is exhibit in the seventh and last part of the permanent exhibition at the Museum of the Oldest Appellation in the World. In this set we present to the visitors different printing techniques such as: printing, engraving, lithography and pyrography.
