Object of the Month - 2020 January
Every month the Museum of the Oldest Appellation in the World highlights one of the many objects that are part of the collection shown in our permanent exhibition. Come and discover the object of the month and find out more about our history.
As mentioned before, the stencil masks were molds used by Real Companhia Velha to mark boxes and kites. These items made possible the identification of specific characteristics from the wine transported, its typology, its final destination, among other relevant information.
The selected piece is part of an exhibition set that displays more than ninety stencil masks. Through which we approach the Company’s geographic expansion across the four corners of the world. This piece is presented in the sixth area at the Museum of the Oldest Appellation in the World. Visit us and discover the collection of this centuries-old company.
