Object of the Month - 2019 March
The litter was a wheel-less vehicle with poles, carried by men or draught animals and usually profusely decorated.
This example, acquired by the Company, would have been purely decorative. This object is presented in the third area of the permanent exhibition at the Museum of the Oldest Appellation in the World, where we present Real Companhia Velha’s first phase as a privileged chartered company.
